Påsk Dessert # Rose' Meringue
Meringue requires nothing except egg whites ,sugar, and baking time (2-3 hrs). It' easy to make but taste good and light and fat free!. Great to any drinks from a cup of tea to a glass of cocktail or even other alkohol drinks ex.martini.
Recipe:
Ingrediens
2 aged egg whites at room temperature
60g fine caster sugar
1-2 drops vanila extract
1-2 drops Red food coloring gel
Directions
Pteheat oven to 90c fan force.
1. Beat egg white with a pinch of salt with medium-low speed untill foamy soft peaks, slowly add sugar(a little at the time) .
When all sugar are disolved, then raise up the speed to medium-high and ontinue beating untill getting shiny stiff hard peaks. Add vanila and color and then beat just to combine.
2. Put meringue in a pastry bag which fitted with a tip. Then pipe on the baking sheet. To make roses I used Wilton 1M tip .
3. Bake meringue in pteheat oven for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs. They are done when are dry and crisp to touch. Turn off oven and open oven door leave them slightly cool in the oven. They will crack if we move them out while they still hot.
Store meringue in an airtight container at room temperature for several days.
